Trophy rape is a high-yielding cool-season brassica bred specifically for deer food plots and fall forage. It produces large, leafy growth that becomes highly palatable to deer and other wildlife after the first frost, which converts starches to sugars. Rape tolerates cold temperatures well and can provide forage well into winter in mild climates. Plant in late summer for peak fall and winter use. It establishes quickly and can be used as a standalone plot or mixed with other brassicas and clovers.
